We have just spent a lovely weekend at Millie’s cottage and would definitely recommend it. It was well equipped with everything you could need. The garden was a lovely sun trap with comfortable seating. I would certainly recommend it.

The week that we stayed in Millie's Cottage was as close to perfect that we could wish for. Everything that we needed was catered for, including the welcoming cake and cookies. Millie's Cottage is the perfect base for travelling a short distance to many attractions in the area, some within walking distance. There is a footpath behind the cottage's private parking space and also a reasonable sized shed for use. The cottage is located up a narrow lane, which is one way only, and the turning into the parking area is a little bit tight, but manageable. We wish we had more time there, as one week was really not enough.

I've rented a lot of holiday cottages over the years, with varying success, but I think Millie's Cottage was the best of the bunch. Beautifully decorated, superbly equipped, it was the ideal base for a week in the Ironbridge area. It's in a lovely quiet lane (not the easiest to find, I have to say, though the instructions were comprehensive!), well away from traffic, and backed by woodland full of birds and squirrels. There's so much to do and see, and we loved having a restorative cup of tea on the patio after a hard days' sightseeing. The kitchen was particularly impressive, with state of the art oven, hob and microwave, instructions for all this tech were clear and easy to follow, and we particularly liked the dishwasher! The beds were comfy, it was great having a bath/shower room each (I was staying with a friend), and we were sorry to leave. Just one or two very minor points - the fridge and freezer seemed to be too cold, the freezer was icing up, and we didn't know how to alter it. And although the wifi worked well, it could do with a bit of a boost! Also, though there is a pub within walking distance, it's down a very steep hill, and looked, to judge from the flags outside, to be showing wall-to-wall football - definitely not our scene! But overall, a gorgeous cottage, in a fabulous area, highly recommended.

Millie's Cottage is a very homely and well equipped place to stay if you want to explore what Ironbridge and Shropshire has to offer. Great communication from the owners Ian and Wendy. I would strongly recommend it as a place to stay.

Millie’s cottage was perfect for our 4 day family holiday. The cottage is beautiful inside and out and is extremely well equipped and comfortable. There was even a welcome pack and a store cupboard with teas, coffee, oil etc - a real bonus! All communication was prompt and professional and the photos were very useful when first locating the cottage. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would happily recommend to anyone who appreciates character and comfort. Lots of great cycling nearby too 😁

This is pretty cottage is well equipped, comfortable and was a joy to stay in. The outdoor seating, front garden, backyard with lights and flowerpots are attractive.The cottage is well located and there is a lot to do and see in the local area eg Ironbridge, museums and walks.

We were lucky with the weather, and managed to see some lovely places. We will be back to explore further, as 5 days at Millie’s just wasn’t enough.

Just back from a great holiday in Millie's Cottage. Coalbrookdale and Iron Bridge and the surrounding area is a great location with plenty to see. Millie's cottage is fitted out to high standard and a great home from home for your holiday. Its in a lovely quite location, with good nearby local amenities. We will definitely be back. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners.

Wonderful home from home. Great location and the most well equipped holiday cottage I've stayed in.Lots of thoughtful touches from the owners to make it a fantastic place to stay. Beds are really comfy, rooms are spacious, parking is easy, would recommend to anyone - but note the stairs are quite steep if you are infirm.

Fabulous comfortable, cosy cottage in a quiet location but within walking distance to pubs, cafes and shops. It was very well equipped with everything you could need and to a very high standard. There was good information about places to visit and we enjoyed some walks straight from the door. Good communication with the owners. We would definitely visit again.

A super cottage with everything you would want for a comfortable, relaxing self catering holiday.
In the heart of Ironbridge Gorge, there are museums, pubs, eateries and independent shops all within walking distance of the cottage (Returning to the cottage from Ironbridge is all uphill).
There is plenty to see and do, from the cottage without having to use the car, but with so many other local attractions careful planning of your time will be required.

I’ve really enjoyed my few days in such a comfortable, spotless and homely cottage. It’s a very convenient place to stay amongst all the interesting things to see and do in the Ironbridge Gorge, but in the evenings there is just peaceful birdsong. We highly recommend staying at Millie’s - it’s extremely comfortable and a real home from home. The hosts, Wendy and Ian, have provided everything you need, it is the most well equipped house that we have ever stayed in! It is ideally situated for touring the Shropshire area with easy access to Ironbridge, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Ludlow. The food at the Woodbridge Inn at Coalport is superb. Communication with Wendy and Ian is excellent.

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable stay at Millie's Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with every likely need catered for. As an EV driver it was also highly convenient to have an easy vehicle charger available at the property. Millie's is well situated for the various local attractions within the area.

We stayed in this superbly furnished and decorated cottage from May 6th to 10th 2024 and were very impressed. Wendy and Ian have spared no expense, and the cottage has every modern convenience one could wish for to make for a very comfortable and homely stay and they are a pleasure to deal with. The neighbours are also very friendly and helpful. A lovely base from which to explore this part of England's heritage and we plan to return in the future.

We had a great week in Coalbrookdale, apart from the weather. The location is very good, we had a walk around the villages and visited Shrewsbury and several NT properties nearby.
The house is well equipped, very comfortable and is a well presented holiday home. We missed nothing! 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 2 people is rather luxury. The WiFi was very fast, streaming was possible without problems.
The owner is very friendly, contact via WhatsApp, thank you also for the support finding the house in the darkness.

Amazing holiday cottage, the best we’ve ever stayed in, so comfortable and homely and yet very stylish with every need thought of.
Interesting museums and a wonderful cafe/restaurant (The Furnace) a few minutes from the cottage and just a short walk into Ironbridge itself.
Have already booked a further two weeks next year - which speaks for itself!

Just spent a very relaxing weekend at Millie's cottage with my wife and parents in law. We all enjoyed the cottage. Great location, nice nearby pub (Coalbrookdale Inn) with excellent Sunday dinner. The house was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Would recommend and if we are back in the area would happily stay here again.

We've just a super week at Millie's cottage. It was so homely and well appointed. The owners have done a sterling job.
We were already familiar with the area as our daughter lives locally but we didn't get round to everything that we intended to do. This is good because it means a return visit will be necessary.
While we enjoyed the frosty scenery this week and the cosy cottage, we are looking forward to a gin and tonic on the patio another time.

I booked Millie's for a weekend away to celebrate my friend Jane's 50th birthday, and it lived up to all our expectations from the description and photos. In Jane's words the cottage is "so cute and perfect". There are so many little attentions to detail which a lot of holiday cottages miss - from the blankets to keep you warm and cosy in the living room, to the liquor glasses which allowed me to enjoy a small glass of my favourite non-alcoholic tipple. The location is great, on a very quiet lane, but walkable to Ironbridge which has a plethora of pubs and tea shops, plus a great antiques centre and lots of other independent shops. We went to Blists Hill Victorian Town, which is well worth a visit, and enjoyed a great vegan brunch at the Greenwood Cafe. Overall, a fantastic stay. Thank you, Ian and Wendy.

Fantastic stay at Millies. Clearly a great deal of love and attention to detail has been lavished on this immaculate cottage. We stayed with our 2 young children who we felt safe to let explore in the rear garden and adjacent woodland area by themselves.
Great location, very peaceful and a short drive or leisurely walk to the hustle and bustle of ironbridge. Plenty of local tea rooms and local pubs and a co-op to stock up with supplies. Will definately be re-booking.

We absolutely loved our stay at Millie's: it had everything we needed and the peace and quiet was so welcome. Super comfy beds, immaculate inside, and amazing stars at night.
Do try the furnace kitchen and the walk to town through the woods.
